Our Story
The Breakthrough billing story starts way back when I earned my MBA from Gannon University and began my corporate sector career. Over the course of nearly twenty years, I worked in a variety of roles, most recently as a Program Manager for a publicly traded telecommunications firm. It was during this time that I also earned my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and began supporting my wife's mental health therapy practice, Touchstone Clinical Associates.
Breakthrough Billing was born from the extensive medical billing work I was doing for Touchstone Clinical Associates. For the past eight years we have developed the processes and experience that have led us to great success in managing our revenue cycle and limiting the amount of denials we receive. Having heard the horror stories of so many of my wife's peers surrounding their billing woes, I decided to start Breakthrough Billing and offer a new approach. That new approach begins with fixed pricing and also includes a focus on transparency around what billing services are being done and when. We also emphasize the use of standardized reporting and focusing on the implementation of sound billing processes.
